CANCELLATION POLICY

  1. Students should be aware that considerable preparation might be involved in the preparation for each lesson.
  2. Notice of cancellation of a scheduled lesson for any reason must be given no later than 24 hours prior to the scheduled lesson.
  3. If notice is given more than 24 hours prior to the scheduled lesson, the student will not be charged.
  4. If notice of cancellation is given within 24 hours of the start of the lesson, the student will be charged in full.
  5. When DTfY deems the cause of cancellation to be unavoidable she can agree at her discretion not to charge for the lesson.
  6. The time and date of each lesson will be decided upon in mutual agreement by student and the tutor.
  7. Should the tutor not be available on the day, the student will be informed by the tutor. A re-arranged time will be offered by the tutor. The tutor will strive to provide notice of such events 24 hours prior to the lesson.
  8. If the tutor is late for a lesson, it is the duty of the tutor to arrange to make up the lost time.
  9. If the student is late for a lesson, the tutor may choose to, but is not obligated to, work beyond the scheduled end time. When the tutor stops at the scheduled end time, the lesson will be charged at the usual price.
  10. When the tutor agrees to continue beyond the scheduled end time at the students’ request, the tutor may choose to charge the student for the additional time.

TUITION FEES

  1. The Tuition fees are as described under Pricing Dutch Lessons and Promotion Dutch Lessons.
  2. The fees include the time involved in preparing and giving the lesson.
  3. Extra fees may be asked for marking homework and tests outside the lesson. These will be discussed and agreed upfront.
  4. Travel expenses are not included in the tuition fee.

CONDITIONS OF PAYMENT

  1. Single lessons have to be paid immediately after the lesson. Either in cash or through ‘Tikkie’.
  2. Packages of 5 or 10 lessons have to be paid in full before the start of the second lesson.
  3. When the package has not been paid before the start of the second lesson the package deal has expired and the lessons have to be paid for the full fee.
  4. A package of 5 lessons is valid for 3 months from the first lesson.
  5. A package of 10 lessons is valid for 6 months from the first lesson.
  6. The tuition fees for the packages are non refundable.
